Chris Mauck (cmauck@conrad.org) is our Logistics coordinator. She is making an inventory of donated items, and needs all pertinent information for the Auction Catalog, including where the items are and how they will get to Cedar Lane for the day of the auction. We hope you are making a real effort to ask businesses in your area if they would be willing to donate services and/or products to the auction. It’s really a win-win opportunity, and businesses are very accustomed to doing it. We will be happy to provide them with donation receipts from SCUU.
SEND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO cmauck@conrad.org
1. Name of the donor – including email address and phone number(s).
If the item is donated by a business to you, we also need THEIR
contact information, as they will be receiving the charitable tax
receipt.
2. Description of the item - short but descriptive, as well as it’s
estimated value. If you have an item requiring a more interesting
description, as long as you’re being truthful, that’s fine too. We
want people to want to bid on things, so making something more
appealing will help do that.
- Any restrictions - blackout dates, expiration dates, or any other
caveats pertaining to the item(s).
- Current location of the item(s)
- How you will get it/them to the auction
OPTIONS: (1) We will have a pickup truck at the church
on Wednesday evening (7:15 – 8:45) and also after church services.
(2) Call Kathleen and Tom Walker (301) 916-1792 and make
arrangements to drop your items off at their home. (3) You may also
bring the items to Cedar Lane at 9601 Cedar Lane, Bethesda, MD on the day of the auction between 11 AM and 3 PM.
FINAL DATE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF AUCTION ITEMS is May 27th at 5 PM EST. Nothing can be accepted after that time – no exceptions.
If you have any questions, call Samantha Porter at (301) 515-2893 or at (301) 529-4252. Think creatively and with generosity as you collect items to donate for the auction, and thanks for everything you have and will do to make this festive occasion a complete success!
